What made Reinhard Heydrich so evil?

Reinhard Heydrich did not frighten people because he despised. Monsters rage and scream most people believe. Heydrich? He did not feel anything. No resentments, no enthusiasm, no self interest. He regarded Jewish people as a machine or a problem to be fixed nothing more.

He considered mass murder as a work. It was not emotional. The Final Solution to the jewish question was a plan with steps, dates and figures. He made no rants or stomping at the Wannsee Conference. His voice was very cool, that of a boss auditing a project. These were mere labels to conceal the horror behind by using the term such as evacuations and resettlements.

He was dangerous because of that. It is expected that one will get angry. One can observe fury. But one to whom it made no difference whatsoever? That’s terrifying. Heydrich had to have no love to act upon and he simply did, regardless of how many wrongs he brought about. His disinterest turned him invulnerable.

Cold. Methodical. Ruthless. That is ladies and gentlemen how some of the most heinous acts in history are perpetrated. And Heydrich? He was an epitome of evil having no heart.
