In Memory of Lejbus Herblik (1917–1942)

Lejbus Herblik was born on March 5, 1917, in the town of Miechów, near Kraków, Poland. He was a Polish Jew who worked as a shoemaker.

On June 6, 1942, he was taken to the Auschwitz concentration camp. When he arrived, he was given the prisoner number 37496.

Just 10 days later, on June 16, 1942, he died in the camp.
He was only 25 years old.

He was a skilled worker. A son. A young man with hopes and a future — all taken away because of hate.

May we always remember his name.
